My MoM
(AKA Grandma, GreatGrandma, Auntie,
Great Auntie and Great Great Auntie)

My mom was born as Baby Larson on May 14, 1930. In her younger years she was known as Patty. To this day some relatives still call her Patty. When she became old enough to go to school, she was given the name Rita Gayle Larson. She graduated from the Proctor Minnesota High School Class of 1948 and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota in 1975 at age 45. Throughout her life she has had three husbands, Erick Erickson, Jack Bagley, and Wilbur Osborn, all of which have passed away. She has four living children, William 57, Neil 54, Wendy 51, deanna 49. She also had two children that passed away as children, Richard 14 and Cheryl 5 months. Through her life Mom has worked as a homemaker, waitress, house cleaner, secretary, legal secretary and a probation officer.

Once, ever and ever so long ago, we didn't have any pink roses. All the roses in the world were white. There weren't any red ones at all, any yellow ones, or any pink ones,--only white roses.
And one morning, very early, a little white rosebud woke up, and saw the sun looking at her. He stared so hard that the little white rosebud did not know what to do; so she looked up at him and said, "Why are you looking at me so hard?"
"Because you are so pretty!" said the big round sun. And the little white rosebud blushed! She blushed pink. And all her children after her were little pink roses!
