Hot Wheels

I've had these little hotwheels cars for some time and never found a way to display them. Then we replaced our 29High aquarium and this idea came to me. We used the old aquarium to display the cars. The really nice thing is that it has a light and will be dust free. I had the glass cut at the local hardware store and bought some sets of "wedding cake risers" at three different Michael's Craft Stores. i glued the cake risers to the bottom of each shelf making in effect several little glass tables in a stack. have the glass cut as wide as you can, but be sure to leave room for it to get past the top ridge and enough room for your hands to hold the glass as you place it in the tank. finally i went to hobby lobby and bought a cheap poster frame. i cut the light weight plexiglass from the poster frame to fit the aquarium top and threw out the frame. the plexiglass sits down below the hood in the track that the hood sits in. the hood holds the plexiglass in place resulting in absolutely no dust inside. carefully dust and wipe your fingerprints off of everything that goes in the tank. finally place the tank on a sturdy stand because if it moves around things inside tend to move around.

I took a picture of each row on the table before putting them in the aquarium.
